zeroCO2 is a benefit corporation dedicated to environmental preservation and rural community support through reforestation of degraded lands. They offer solutions to help companies transition to a low-carbon economy with a focus on authentic, scientific, and transparent approaches that emphasize social equity. APART partnered with zeroCO2 to enhance their visual identity and develop a comprehensive digital platform that combines a showcase site with an e-commerce platform. This project required a multifaceted approach to address both corporate and private user needs, ensuring clarity and appeal in communicating zeroCO2’s mission and services.

zeroCO2 came to us with a clear strategic identity and logo, but their visual identity needed more depth. We aimed to enhance their brand image by expanding the color palette to vibrant, deep hues and creating a hierarchy of playful, contemporary fonts. Drawing inspiration from roots, we developed a graphic system symbolizing zeroCO2’s connection to land and communities. This system featured simple, playful monochromatic or bichromatic illustrations and extensive reportage-style images to highlight the real-world impact of their reforestation efforts.

The main challenge of this website has been developing a site rich in pages and information for both B2B and private clients. The site needed to communicate zeroCO2’s mission—the reforestation projects around the world—as well as its sustainability services for companies. Additionally, zeroCO2’s identity is marked by its scientific and educational approach and its activist nature. This great amount of information was managed through strategic modular design, ensuring consistency and adaptability. And also through a site structure designed to address multiple levels of communication.

The website’s primary section highlights zeroCO2’s global reforestation projects, community involvement, and measurable impact. These pages are rich in content, with empathetic storytelling, reportage-style images, and strong creative visuals. Following this, the site details zeroCO2’s corporate services in a straightforward, easy-to-navigate format, enriched with illustrations. Additionally, a section dedicated to educating users on sustainability offers practical tips, activism resources, and an informative magazine, helping to build brand awareness.

The hideaway header supports visual storytelling, focusing on zeroCO2’s imagery and clear communication. The e-commerce platform, designed for both corporate and private users, blends user-friendly design with playful elements, ensuring a smooth purchasing process.

This project highlights the critical role of design in storytelling and sustainability. It illustrates how a cohesive identity can enhance a brand’s impact and reach, engaging both corporate clients and private individuals in meaningful environmental action. The partnership between zeroCO2 and APART showcases the power of collaborative creativity and technical precision in bringing visionary ideas to life.
