Cesare Cremonini, a celebrated figure in Italian pop music known for his versatile songwriting and diverse compositions, partnered with APART to revitalize his image, reflecting his musical progression. Between 2012 and 2017, APART was instrumental in redefining Cremonini’s visual style, encompassing album covers and live show visuals for projects like “La Teoria dei Colori,” “Logico,” and “Possibili Scenari”.

APART faced the challenge of maintaining Cremonini’s appeal to his loyal fanbase while expanding his reach to new audiences. The agency created a unique graphic universe for Cremonini, drawing from contemporary art, design, and advertising, forming a visual language that mirrored his varied musical styles.

Under APART’s direction, each album cover became a storytelling medium. “La Teoria dei Colori” (2012) featured vibrant colors and abstract symbolism, aligning with Cremonini’s experimental musical style. The album’s visual theme celebrated love and innovation, capturing its essence.

“Logico” (2014) marked a shift to a more sophisticated visual approach. The cover, with its 3D design and subdued colors, symbolized Cremonini’s artistic maturity. It represented a philosophical journey, with album typography transformed into shapes governed by physical laws, mirroring the album’s introspective nature.

With “Possibili Scenari” (2017), the evolution continued. The enigmatic cover suggested an emotional journey, reflecting the album’s mature and contemplative tone, and portraying Cremonini’s evolution as a pop icon committed to creating timeless music.

APART’s design strategy was deceptively simple but deeply impactful. Each album conveyed its concept through minimalistic graphics and striking color schemes, highlighting Cremonini’s artistic growth and sensitivity. This approach successfully refreshed Cremonini’s image, resonating with both longstanding fans and newcomers.

The collaboration between APART and Cremonini resulted in a visually engaging identity that not only reflected the artist’s development but also broadened his audience.
